Story

The Beginning of hyque
Around 1980, when traveling abroad was still difficult,
a baker dreamed of worlds beyond the sea.
From that longing was born Surfing—
a bread meant to be enjoyed cold,
strange, imperfect, and entirely new.
hyque began with this bread as the start of a journey.
Like a haiku, it captures fleeting scenes
and weaves cultures, ingredients, and encounters into bread.
Now, born in Japan,
Surfing sets off once more—
traveling out into the world.
Through bread, hyque quietly delivers
small stories of travel.
